Never Too Late

Glass Onions in WaterNo cut off, no deadline; a thing can be done before time runs out

It is never too late to become what you might have been. George Eliot

It is never too late to have a happy childhood. Tim Robbins

It is never too late to do something in this life that helps to prepare us for our next life. Randall Burkhalter

The only time that it is “too late” is the moment we breathe our last breath. Up until that time, we have opportunities to enrich our lives as well as the lives of others. There is nothing preventing us from doing this except our own self-imposed weaknesses, shortcomings and limiting beliefs.

We should be growing and developing from the moment we exit the womb until the moment we breathe no more. Everyday we should become just a little better than we were yesterday. This is incremental progress. These very small daily steps keep adding up to be big giant steps when they are all added together. It is never too late to begin and there is no reason to ever stop. There is no retirement from personal growth and development.

The most important asset any of us has is our self. We are responsible to be a good manager of our self, to nourish, grow and to maintain our self. There is likely more we do not understand about ourselves than there is we do. We know those who consciously and proactively commit to doing something with their lives accomplish more than those do not. Our opportunities are never over until we leave this life behind. Life is comparable to a shopping spree. We find ourselves in life’s department store with an empty shopping cart. The buzzer sounds; we have until the final buzzer to fill our carts with as many things as we can possibly load into it. Each twist and turn in our life is filled with opportunities for growth and development. Our shopping basket is so big that we can never fill it up. Our only limitation is our initiative, desire and energy to fill it up with all the good things that come our way. Each new experience gets added to our cart, and causes us to become more than we were before.

Whether we are very young, middle-aged, or getting on in our years, we have time to do and learn more. The department store of our life stays open until we close our eyes for the last time. Around every turn is something new and exciting. We should be filled with confidence and anticipation as we venture forward in the days, weeks, months, and years to come. Great things are always waiting for us. It’s is only too late the day we die

Challenge: There are exciting experiences awaiting you. There is much to do and learn. You are only limited by your own courage, initiative and willingness to go on your own personal shopping spree. You miss much by being afraid and because of procrastination. Open the door, get out of your comfort zone, overcome your fears, and meet life’s challenges with anticipation and with positive expectations. It is never, ever too late to live life!

Wisdom: There is an immeasurable distance between late and too late. Og Mandino

Spiritual: (NIV):

For God did no give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.  2 Timothy 1:7

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.  Hebrews 11:1

We live by faith, not by sight. II Corinthians 5:7

Many believe this life prepares us for the next life. Everything that happens continues to make us into who we are becoming. God made us with some of himself in each and every one of us. He gave us talents, abilities and great creative powers. We must live life proactively with energy and effort to more fully develop into what He intends us to be. Our Heavenly Father wants us to grow and truly become all that we are capable of becoming.

Prayer:  Help me to have the courage, the faith, and the love to face life’s challenges.
